1. Correct microphone positioning
TheBoom end-piece should be positioned 1"-1.5" from your mouth, with the microphone end facing your mouth. For theBoom O, make sure that the end-piece is not directly below your nostrils, but more near the corner of your lips.

2. Minimizing puffs of air
Make sure that the windscreen is installed on the end-piece.

3. Optimizing recording level
Many speech recognizers provide a recording (audio input) level adjustment tool (software).If there is such a tool provided with the speech recognizer, please run it to set the microphone level before using the microphone for recognition/enrollment/training. If there is no such tool, you can manually set the microphone level such that there is no clipping for the range of speech input expected during regular use of the speech recognizer.
