Quintron Systems Testing
Flash Player (Text Replace)
Who are Quintron SystemsQuintron Systems is an independent consulting company, used by several government and commercial industries to test solutions for their clients. In this case, Quintron Systems were testing several noise-reduction technologies for Nuclear Power Plants. They were testing theBoom noise-reduction technology against a generic microphone used in radio communications.
How was the test conducted?
The test involved one or two people standing next to a large compressor (well over 100dsbl in noise) and tried communicating to another member of the testing group away from the noise via a radio. In the first instance, the same person simply changed the headset from theBoom to the generic, and the second example is two testing staff standing next to one another; one using theBoom and the other using a generic noise-reduction headset.
How do I listen to a demo?
Firstly, you have to make sure that your browser has JavaScript activated. If it is already active, you will be able to see the sound player to the right of the screen. In the player you will see the two tracks that you can click on and play.
